The du’a list every mother needs

1. Dua For Ease
Handing over your birth to Allah, asking Him to ease every moment, remove obstacles, and fill the journey with goodness. A reminder that ease and blessing are both within His control.
رَبِّ يَسِّرْ وَلَا تُعَسِّرْ وَتَمِّمْ بِالْخَيْرِ 
Rabbi yassir wa la tu’assir wa tammim bil khayr
My Lord, make it easy and do not make it difficult, and complete it with goodness.

2. Dua of Yunus (for distress & surrender)
When fear or intensity rises, this dua helps you surrender completely, remembering that Allah hears every cry and will never abandon you. It brings a deep, calming reassurance that you are not alone.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِين
La ilaha illa anta, subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin
There is no deity except You, Glory be to You. Indeed have been of the wrongdoers
 (Qur’an 21:87)

3. Dua for Strength
To fill your heart with courage and calm, to open your chest with confidence, and to make your mind and body steady. It’s a reminder that every contraction and breath can be met with patience and strength, with Allah guiding your every move.
رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي  يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي
Rabbish rahli sadri, wa yassir li amri, wahlul 'uqdatan min lisani, yafqahu qawli
O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness), And ease my task for me; And untie the knot from my tongue, That they understand my speech
(Quran 20:25-28)

4. Ayah for Trust in Allah’s Plan (Qadr)
This verse reminds you that surrender is not weakness, but trust. Whatever unfolds, Allah’s plan is perfect, and He is sufficient for you in every moment of uncertainty.
وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ
Wa man yatawakkal ‘alallah fahuwa hasbuh
And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He is sufficient for them
 (Qur’an 65:3)

5. Dua for Protection
To surround you and your baby with a shield of divine protection. Every word is a fortress against harm, evil, and unseen dangers, reminding you that Allah’s safeguarding hands are upon both of you.
أُعِيذُكَ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ
A’udhu bi kalimaat-illaahit-taammah min kulli shaytaanin, wa haammah, wa min kulli ‛aynin laammah
I seek protection for you in the perfect words of Allah from every devil, every harm, and every evil eye.
(Sahih al-Bukhari 3371)

6. Dua for Reliance on Allah
When doubt, worry, or exhaustion creeps in, this dua restores peace to your heart. Allah is enough for you, He is the best planner, the most compassionate guardian through every surge and pause.
 حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
Hasbunallahu wa ni‘mal wakeel
Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.
(Surah Aal-Imran 3:173)

7. Dua for Entrusting Pregnancy to Allah
A tender plea to place yourself and your baby completely in Allah’s care. It’s a gentle act of surrender, trusting Him to guard your life, your heart, and the life growing within you.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَوْدِعُكَ نَفْسِي وَحَمْلِي فَاحْفَظْهُمَا لِي، فَإِنَّكَ خَيْرُ الْمُسْتَوْدَعِينَ
Allahumma inni astawdi‘uka nafsi wa ḥamli fa’ḥfaẓhumā lī fa’innaka khayrul-mustawda‘īn
O Allah, I entrust to You myself and my pregnancy — so protect them for me, for You are the best of guardians.

8. Dua for Righteous & Comforting Offspring
To ask Allah for children who are a source of joy, love, and light in your life. It’s a heartful reminder that your baby is a precious trust, a blessing, and a reason for hope and delight.
 رَبِّ هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ
Rabbi hab lana min azwajina wa dhurriyyatina qurrata a’yunin. 
Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes.
(Surah Al-Furqan 25:74)

9. Dua When Facing Difficulty
A reminder that every difficulty can be made easy by Allah. It’s perfect for moments when labour feels long or painful, giving you hope that ease can always follow hardship.
اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا
Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja‘altahu sahlā, wa anta taj‘alu al-ḥazna idha shi’ta sahlā
O Allah, nothing is easy except what You make easy, and You can make difficulty easy if You will.
(Ibn Hibban)

10. Dua of Complete Surrender
To release all fear, worry, and attempts to control what is beyond you. Entrusting every contraction, every decision, and every moment to Allah’s wisdom brings peace to the mind and soul.
وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ
Wa ufawwidu amri ila Allah, inna Allaha baseerun bil-‘ibaad. 
And I entrust my affair to Allah. Verily, Allah is Seeing of His servants.
(Surah Ghafir 40:44)
